How hot is important. U may have an electrical issue why its not starting when hot. Could be grounding could be the starter. As to why its stalling when hot, that part I'm not clear on, I had a similar issue that seems to have fixed itself. Electrician said there was something that needed cleaning, something that compensates for lost rpms when load is on the engine, don't kno what its called...

I fixed it! Tested for spark when cold, then when hot.No spark when hot-so I pulled out the coil (in the distributor),it had a crack running all the way across it.Put in a new coil, now it runs fine.Hope this clears up some similar problems for others!!

replaced whole distributor. went well for 2 months. now it behaves like petrol filter blocked. dies under load but will idle nicely but fails on quick jab of accelerator.
