Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Doesn't alway exhibit these symptoms even in rain.  The noise is very promounced similar to what I used to have happen years ago with my 78 Cutlass when it locked up the fan-clutch.  Transmission & differential are fine.  Engine torn down at 70 miles for the poor oil circulation problem which didn't help much with the noise so the lifters have made other than quiet for decades,  Mileage is fine ~25 mixed.  Mobil One 5W-30 every 3500 miles.

im going to guess its your throttle position sensor. bad TPS units can cause hunting and erratic shifting.
