Yes. Do not run the engine until you have discovered the problem. Try the oil pressure sending unit.

1. your out of oil 2. your sending unit is bad 3. your oil gauge is malfunctioning or bad 4. your oil pump is bad Start with # 1. progress through to the end. Don't drive it unless your sure there is oil pressure. Make sure all the wiring is still connected to the sending unit and gauge.
