2000 Camry won't accelerate appropriately

Asked by Jay Apr 09, 2019 at 05:22 AM about the 2000 Toyota Camry CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car will not accelerate when I press on pedal
until I literally floor it. Then, it will get up to 4 5
rpms and jump into speed. I've had the codes read.
I have po300 po301 thru po304. I've replaced spark
plugs and coil packs but no improvement at all. My
harmonic balancer is going back too bc it ticks
from that distinct area of crank.

It could be the wiring harness or alternator. Make sure the drive belt is tight or that it isn't worn out. Might need to check all the pullys too.

I'm having similar issues replacing ignition coil & spark plugs this weekend in my 04' Camry I hope it fixes the issue.
