Car will slowly die after 5 minutes of running
has new alt, and the motor will makes
clanking ticking noises as it dies

Any warning lights on or flashing when the engine was running? Check the Engine Oil. Is it up to the full mark. Smell the oil Does it smell burnt or like gasoline?
