I have a 2005 Corolla and was hearing a loud
humming sound wheel bearing was the
problem paid to get it fixed at a reputable
shop cost was about $400 only to hear the
humming still as they said the other side
needed to be done to. So I went else where
to get a second look because I found it
strange that the noise was still present and
only to have found out the new wheel bearing
is messed up along with the hub.... well the
new guy that fixed it fixed the humming but
broke my one of my axle nuts and now I hear
squeaking and grinding! Did he mess up my
brakes?

Any sort of wheel bearing problem will lead to uneven break wear, my front driver wheel bearing went out in my F150 and I drove on it for 3 days and my breaks were f*cked. Your putting a lot of stress on your brakes and sometimes it can just be straight metal on metal contact while your driving or coasting. Get repair immediately.

The first time I fixed the wheel bearing was a couple of weeks ago and went to the second guy last night. My brakes were fine until I brought it to the second guy
