Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Ac works fine, coolant is fine, heater core
not clogged...Heater will not get hot
when switching over. I no longer hear the
vent switch from ac to heat..Could it be
the Inlet actuator?

Yes, you most likely have a bad blend door actuator. Then newer cars have electrical doors. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=GPqhDKiG1EQ You may also want to remove your climate control panel and inspect the wires on the back. Sometimes they become unplugged or loose.
Is it just 1 that needs replaced as it doesn't work on driver side or passenger. I have the dual control for passage and driver side..
If you can isolate the air to either side, then you most likely have two in there.
Is it normal for.both to go out. My 05 has 60k original miles so want sure
Have you looked behind your climate control panel yet to see if any wires have fallen off? According to this link, if the actuators fail, your check engine light should be on and it should be throwing a code. From the article, there is one on the drivers side and passenger side. Not sure if it's normal to have both go out at the same time. Seems weird to have both go at the same time. I would check the climate panel first..................................... http://www.sparkys-answers.com/2009/11/2004-chevrolet- impala-no-heat-drivers.html
Hmm..no engine light or code..I'll check that first..thanks
