I replaced the rear hatch handle after it broke. It worked for a few days then stopped working. I can't open it manually, any suggestions?

the alignment needs to be "buttoned down"...quite sure there's gotta be an Allen screw that once it's in position must be tightened to "cincn it down" in position....or something very close to this method of anchoring the position...look for that when you are putting it right~

my battery hold down came loose and the truck started on fire (93 pickup...see my garage) today and pushed it as far as I could then called a neighbor to pull me up to the house~ I know it's just a battery terminal...but I burned myself stopping the incineration of the electrics~
Thank you both but, I still need to open the hatch to look for an adjustment and lube it. :)
Thanks, I've already pulled the panel and tried to release the latch by manually lifting the lever. The lever on top and bottom seem to work and the cable moves freely, but the latch does not release when the release lever is lifted. I don't want to try to pry it open if I don't have the latch released.
Same problem. I don't see anything on the mechanism to adjust. The cable is a fixed length with a ball on one end.
