Loud screeching sound on start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I get a screeching sound when i start my van for the first time donot hear it all day . Apparently the serpentine belts needs to be lubricated. Need to know whether WD40 or soap is better. Would WD40 increase slippage if applied relative to soap?. Request inputs. Thanks
