Car won't start

Asked by Eric Jun 14, 2017 at 07:14 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

04 cavalier 2.2 ecotech. Car was running fine then
it started stalling everytime I hit a bump or made a
turn. And now it wont start. Did some research and
it sounded like a fuel problem so i listened for my
pump and I can hear it start up so I changed my
filter. After changing my filter it started for the first
time in months. Now it starts but only after a few
tries of turning it over and pump gas pedal

Is my pump going? Or is it my injectors/spark
plugs

Thanks

HARD TO SAY...HOW MUCH GAS IS IN IT? IS IT FRESH? RECHECK THE FILTER..BLOW THRU IT ..IS IT FREE...ADD 1 BOTTLE ZMAX GAS TREATMENT TO 5 GALLONS OF GOOD GAS...CHECT THE FUEL PUMP VOLTAGE WITH A TEST LIGHT RUNNING..DOES IT STAY ON?? AND FOR THE BUMPS..CHECK WIGGLE ALL THE WIRES YOU CAN GET YOU HANDS ON AND ALSO SPRAY THE FUSE/BOX/S WITH WD40 AND PULL AND REPLACE THE FUSES/RELAYS..

do u have a starter relay? it seems like that could be the problem from your description. also check your ground straps for tightness.
