97 mercedes e320, straight 6, cylinder head removed. Need to know maximum warp tolerances to see if machine work possible.

Asked by Robert Mar 20, 2015 at 07:54 PM about the 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I understand that if cylinder head is
machined , that  torking, bolts down
changes tolerances at camshaft. What is
the maximum that a head can be reinstalled
without machining?

I would try the MBworld forum or benz forum. Also you could try ebay for the mercedes workshop manual.
