the radio code, often found in the manual, or on the back of the radio itself (yes be removed), is usually a 4 digit code, a series of numbers that unlocks the radio, created to deter theft in the vehicle, once removed, or battery reset, or unplugged the radio becomes inop-and attempting to enter the wrong code too many times is not a good thing. So you can either call a Mercedes Dealership for free with your v.i.n. and ask a service writer to give you your code, or have someone remove the radio and hope the sticker is still on there...
