1995 eddie bauer. I've never had manual locking hubs before. Where I live during the winter ther is alot of drifting. Is it ok to go back afrom dry pavement to snow over and over with 4x4 locked in?

Depending on whether your rig has limited slip differentials or not, it should be fine as long as you do not do any tight turns. The issue is when you do a tight turn on dry pavement, you may notice a binding or bucking situation. This can occur because a tight turn results in the rear axle encountering fewer revolutions then the front axle due to the decreased turning radius.

On straight roads yes. 4WD's that I have had could be shifted out of 4wd into 2wd with the hubs left locked. I would not drive with the hubs locked all the time but when you have mixed conditions that is what I would do.
