I have a 02 Chevy blazer, I got a new starter and battery. When I connect it all back the engine tries to start without the key in the ignition. Is something else wrong? Why is it doing that?

Check the connections at the starter again sounds like you have the wires crossed on the starter.

Yes it could be but I just can not see how if it was not doing that before you changed starter and battery and that is when it started doing what it is doing.

Would bet money the connections got messed up. You have + cable to the large terminal furthest from the starter. The other large one goes from the solenoid to the starter itself. Make sure they arnt on the same post. Purple signal wire goes on the small post. (It's usually purple, maybe different)
