Truck Almost Dies While Trying To Accelerate Onto Interstate

I have a 2000 F150 with the 5.4 2v. I am having
issues with it almost dying on me while trying to
accelerate and then slowly coming back if I let off
and get back on it. Any suggestions of what it
could be?

I would replace my plug wires, first and then maybe the gas filter and lastly clean your MAF. Because if it cannot get the right reading to the computer, then it's just going to throw fits and that's what you are describing. BUT we don't know that it's just an idea. However the airflow sensor is much more complicated to deal with than plug wires. Always easy stuff to the more difficult things.
