depends who the "mechanic is. A Ford technician uses book time and adds for additional services or options that conflict or add time to the job. He also removes it by specific procedure first. He uses the current gaskets specified by Ford. He takes into acct. why, He considers engine issues and bulletins published about that engine from that engine plant. He recommends additional parts based on access during removal. You need to ask , who's qualified and get your diag and recommendations there. ask for the labor and materials. Those engines can have issues with their cooling system parts, depends what was done, or is happenning and what bulletins apply. I would ask at that end of the horse.

Have you read about these head, cooling, and update parts? an issue with hi heat or overheat switch? I would read the bulletins about whatever build of the engine I had before turning the first bolt. and the detorque is just as important as the torque for modular v8's, gentlemen. and you can tell her to come to the yard
