Check to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel before replacing the ignition control module.

I am having this exact same issue with mine. Swapped the ignition coil and wired a new plug in (original part melted in) I got about half a second of fire when done then right back to cranking but not turning over. Might I have butchered the wiring job? (First time with butt connectors and not just straight wire splicing) or should I now move on to plugs then control module? Distributor is about 8mo old. New cylanoids and alternator.
