The tags on both transmissions must match exactly. So I would say no because of the electronics involved. Hope that helps! Jim

are you a GM TECH I WAS TOLD THAT 03 WAS A ONE YEAR ONLY TRANSMISION MAKING IT TOUGH TO FIND ONE 2500 TO REBUILD IT ON TRUCK THATS WORT 2500 THANX

So then you agree, it won't work. Maybe instead of replacing the transmission you should replace the vehicle. I also have a 2003 S10 pick up. Mine has 304,000 miles on it. If the transmission goes, so does the truck! Hope that helps! Jim
