My 1998 ram 1500 4x4 extended cab with 5.9 I'm having problems finding a rear diff seal the one the parts house gave me was not close

Rear differential seal was leaking pretty bad so I'm having trouble finding the correct seal
its Sunday so I can't use a dealer until Monday just wondering how to tell which rearend I
have to match the seal with? Should I use the VIN?

should be decal under hood with discription but your rear should be a 9.25 & your front a Dana 44
