i have an o1 ram 1500 4.9 and mine just cuts out nice and quiet like all power is ok but check engine light goes out as if the battery was disconnected it's on for a small leak in catalytic- no codes

it happens occasionally with just a sudden shut off today though i felt a kick
under the seat and then it shut down. no codes are showing

Finally got a TPS code swapped out new one then changed the battery when that didn't fix it. Will find out if it works over time so far so good the stop during shifting, something we both noticed when it did shut off on me, seems to be gone along with other symptoms like slight sputter

My 94 dodge ram 1500, 5.2L, runs okay but began using lot of fuel. Had trouble codes 37, 32, and 51. Cleaned throttle body and checked for vaccum leaks or bad hoses. Code 32 gone away. Cleared code 51 which according to Haynes manual is not supposed to make the check engine light come on. Their is no code 37 in the Haynes manual for a gasoline engine on the 94 Ram. Their is for diesel engine. What is it, where is it at and how do I correct the problem. 51 I know is the O2 sensor. Truck runs great, shifts fine , but is still using more fuel than normal. Been reading about code 37 and transmissions, don't think my problem is there. Any help ? 5 Answers

Cannot get the Code 37 to clear, can disconnect the battery and the code 51 clears, The code 32 has not come back but 51 comes back. 37 does not go away. Engine light will not come on after starting...
