my front door speakers on my2005 ram 1500 sound really muffled , why ?

Or, applying what I call the "Slingblade Theory" (Ain't got no gas in it!), could someone have bumped the fade control?

I get a limited volume limit and its not even close to loud id like some new ones too but ya prolly time to replace if ther stock
