i need to replace the crankshaft position sensor can this be done by me, a backyard mechanic

check engine light came on, had it checked by parts store. the code p0339 came up this code has to do with the crankshaft position sensor. Parts store sold me a new sensor. codes also showed multiple cylinder misfires. Truck has 220,000 miles on it.
