Dodge Ram question

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it safe to unplug the wire harness from
the abs module. The system would not
shut off. Any ideas as to o the issue? When
I did this it also shut off my speedometer.

I WOULD NOT... DO YO 4 WHEEL ANY??... SOMETIMES IT JUST DIRT THAT COME BETWEEN THE WHEEL AND PICKUP..CLEAN THE RIMS/HUBS FRONT AND REAR WITH SOME DISH SOAP AND ALOT OF WATER TO THAT AREA...IF NO HELP..SOMETIMES YOU CAN TAKE EACH ONE OUT AND STEEL WOOL THE SERVICES...ALSO MAKE SURE THE BRAKE FLUID IS FULL... MOST OF THE TIME IT IS 1 SENSOR...

An abs pump that continues to run, even when the key is off. Is either a stuck ABS relay. Or an internally shorted ABS module. The ABS module is part of the pump assembly so The entire thing, Pump/module will need to be replaced.
