My 2000 Chevy Blazer has an oil leak. Been told it's the rear seal. Oil pressure gets down to 0. Will that hurt my engine?

Yes. No oil pressure means lot of little metal parts in your engine grinding together. Check out a product called Bar's Leaks Rear Main Seal Repair, you can get it in any auto parts store. Also check out youtube vids on how to use it.

Forgot to add some other info: Try also using a motor oil for high-mileage motors. That can help with leaks. In addition there are several oil additives besides Bars for leaky rear main seals: Marvel's Mystery Oil, ATP, Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak, Auto-RX, to name a few.
