Cycle the key on and off a few times before you crank it, w/o touching the gas pedal, see if it helps? If it does, check your fuel system. How long since a tune-up? A good tune-up wouldn't hurt anything. It idles ok, once you get it started?
Sometimes it kind of sputters like the car shakes when just sitting
Did you try cycling the key, like I asked? Did it help? Check and clean anything that has to do with idle air system.
When I cycle the key do you mean to turn it on then shut off and repeat
Just turn the key till the dash lights come on, don't crank it. Yes, turn it on and off.
At the moment, I can't think of anything else? Any applicable trouble codes? I need something to lead us in the right direction.
If my fuel gauge is going bad could that be the problem
Did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure? I doubt your fuel gage would have anything to do with it. You can check proper voltage and ground for the fuel pump. Any applicable trouble codes?
