Low idle & eventual stall after barely making it to gas station

Asked by Leigh Nov 26, 2019 at 02:46 PM about the 2003 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was just starting to sputter when we
pulled into the gas station. Now, idles so
low, if I don't give it gas it will die. Engine
warm, and no check engine light. Do I need
to do the idle relearn thing like when battery
is replaced? Or have I just probably sucked
the debris from bottom of tank and gunked
up something? Can you recommend order
of things to inspect please? Thanks!

Yes it is possible you sucked something up and it is clogging the fuel filter. Changing it should fix the issue IF that's the problem. A cheap live data scan tool or fuel pressure tester could verify this.
