Engine has started to backfire inside the engine room . Mercedes c180 1997

The engine started to bang ( missfire) in the engine . I have changed the plugs
no difference . Will change the fuel filter tomorrow. Then maybe the fuel
pump.
Cly 123 are 10,5 and # 4 9,5 ( kompression test. # 4 cyl spark plug was
black the others light brown colour. Have been told it maybe the plugs , fuel
filter or the petrol pump. Any other surgestion ?

I surgest this is an electrical problem. check the high tension leads and coil packs

Ok i have ordered New coils at least the one which is the one over number 4 cyl to see if helps will let u know the results..
