My 2000 C230K shift module is not working properly, No reverse.

When in park and the gas is pressed the car moves forward.
When in nutural and the gas is pressed the car moves forward.
When in reverse and the gas is pressed, seems like it is in nutural. No Reverse.
When in drive the car drives and shifts with no problem, tranny shifts smoothly.
No check engine light

Have you checked the shifting linkage for proper adjustments ? I have not checked the shifting linkage. Is this located under the car? What would I be looking for once under the car? I understand that there is a bushing that is used to connect the shift module to the tranny. Is there a guide available for adjustments?
Under the car, metal rod between shifter and gear box, held in place with a clip at each end. Check that both clips are still in place cos if ones missing it could be trying to pop the shift linkage out. I don't remember seeing any of these link rods that were adjustable but don't quote me on that bit.
