Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the car has 230000 miles on it. Mass air sensor keeps coming on every 225 miles or so. Had it changed once to get it through inspection and the last time got it through without changing it, but it was a pain. one mechanic said it was something with the supercharger as there was some oil in the air duct, but wouldn't say exactly what it might cost. This kind of scares me. I have already changed all the pumps and control arms. Is it time to trade it in?

Tom, They did clean it supposedly, and the problem persisted. The check engine light is still on, but I did get through inspection before it tripped on again. The car runs well too. I do get a hesitation when idling at times. I will try this. I am running synthetic oil in it and don't want to try anything else in that area.
