My ml430 start but cut right off...I think it the key or the alarm but no sound or light on

It's the chip in your key. I hope you have the other key. Been there done that.

Going through that right now. I hope it's only the key but Mercedes is coming to get it because I can't move it out of my garage. I changed the crank position sensor but to no avail. My key is Los ans splitting, it's the switch blade type but unfortunately I only had the one key and never got around to making a spare. Always have at least 2 keys. I hope yours is Only the key. They are pricy,$185.00 each and have to be programmed by the dealer after some paperwork. Hope this helps. Keep us posted.
