Question type: General

the parts counter guy at NAPA told me the '89 SR-5 was a twin-cam. is this true and does that  make the l.6 4-cyl. an interference engine?

The '89 Corolla was an interference engine utilizing a timing belt instead of a timing chain. I don't know what engine options were available but there typically are a single cam and a twin cam option available in the same vehicle, since there's usually a performance and a lower-end price point.
