The last versions rolled out on 1987. 1988 had the AE92s which were front wheel drive.
Both Levin and Trueno ended in 1987, have u heard theyre makin a new version of the 86?
yeah something bout they are part of fuji heavy industies who make subaru
wow a 20v huh, i got a 86 ae86 sr5 with the sucky 4ac. Thinkin of swappin it to a 16 though. Btw what engine did u start out with?
the ae82 came out with a 4age 16v o i only sold it cos fwd suck balls my ae71 has a 4ac they are ok, i want either a 16v with quads or a 20v converted to RWD
wait can u use the same t50 trans that came from the 16v for the 20v?
yep, cos the block is the same, you just have to use the 16v flywheel and clutch, the only prob is that the dizzy will be at the back of the head and hit the firewall and the rear water outlet is in the way...
o yeah i saw couple of people talkin about that and that u have to cut some parts of the firewall or somethin. but thats to complicated for me ill just probably stick to swappin with the 16v. btw u heard of a carb blow-by setup before? where they put a turbo on a carburated engine.
yeah people do it i have seen it on an old 2door pajero just buy a 4agze and a turbo manifold chuck on a t25 off a ca18 and your laughin!
i had a 83 red panda levin and a 85 white levin, one was twin cam one was 4ac.. my flatmate went thru a couple of 4ac's, then went the gze swap, turboed, the t50 is a good box until you are pumping out 206kW at the wheels like he is, then its no good lol. look for the old skool supra box... w58 is it??
Yea its w58 thats a from the 7mgte right? btw u had a ae85 or ae86?
w58 is from mk2 (1982-1986) and mk3 (1986.5-1992) supras. mk 3 HAS to be non-turbo 7mge. turbo 7mgte came with r154. w58 can also be found in cressidas.
no it doesn't i have an ae71...it was made in 84 ae86 was made from 83 to 87
Yep, the ae86 is a better trim than the ae85. The ae85 has 1.5 3a-u engine and the ae86 either has the 1.6 4ag or 1.6 4ac. The A represents the toyota A engine the E86 represents the 6th revision of the fifth generation.
