I have a 1999 Chevrolet blaze 4.3 vortex engine, ran great, suddenly won't start, is getting spark & fuel, spark is strong, not sure of exact fuel pressure but it seems sufficient...

You need to know the fuel pressure. If the pressure is low the poppet valves of the injectors will not open. With key on engine off you need to see 60-66psi of fuel pressure. Check your filter and try again before you fail the fuel pump.
