Electronic reset

Asked by Abacossie Aug 08, 2016 at 03:02 PM about the 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio 2 Dr GLS Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 Cabrio had a tyrannies cooler problem last year, engine ran great
except for that. It took a while to get the part . In the mean time the battery
went completely dead. The new cooLet has been installed, the battery
recharged and the engine rolls over like normal but no fuel. If we give a short
shot of starting fluid, she fires right away. Is there a reset button for the fuel
pump

Time for a replacement fuel pump 15 yrs and letting it sit gets em.. Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail in PSI when you see its not in spec.. change the pump.
