Have a short in my turn signals. The guy I bought the 91 Jetta off of had a new cluster put in and said once the lights on the cluster came on the turn signals stopped working. I had seen the fuse was blown and replaced it, they worked for a minute and blew again. Plus, replaced the water pump and some hoses now I don't have heat. I read on the same topic that there may be air trapped in the system so I am going to try to work the hoses this weekend when I have time. Lots of little things I need to fix. Heat is a major deal since it is now snowing FML. at least its a second car 2 Answers

i have a 2004 vw jetta 1.8t and i tried to start it one day and it only cranked. i know i need a new battery, but when it was charged i could hear the pump hum and i had changed the oil. i changed the crankshaft position sensor and all the spark plugs and fuel filter and still no start. i changed the pump relay and still nothing im at my wits end and i need my second car to start runnin. its not getting any fuel because i tried starting fluid in the spark plug area and it fired right up its not leaking from any hoses. the only thing i changed in it was a battery for the keyless entry and the oil. i have the check engine light on and when i try to start it the battry sounds like its losing power and the oil light will start flashing. what is the malfunction. i know it needs air fuel and spark, and fuel is my problem. 7 Answers

My 2013 Jetta has started making a 'rhythmic' squeaky whine that is accelerator related (gets more rhythmic as far as in and out of the whine) when the car is warmed up at highway speed. I can hear it going down the highway and stopped at a red light. It stops when I turn the A/C on. Seems to stop when I am parked and the car is put into 'park'. Any ideas? 3 Answers
