I would look up how to check a throttle position sensor. Its fairly easy and would save you a lot of time and money. You can try disconnecting you Idle Air Control valve and see if the condition changes. If it does NOT change (meaning the present problem still exits, but does not get worse) then your IAC is the culprit and needs to be replaced.
Are you seeing a check engine lamp on?I have had the hard plastic line that goes to the brake booster split open at the check valve it will create some poor running conditions. On the 04 model you may also have an auxiliary vacuum pump that has a line T,d in at the booster check valve both are hard lines check them carefully, the splits can be hard to see
I have the answer, mine did the same for months on end, I replaced every filter, plug and wire and air flow things I could think of and in the end it was only the engine speed sensor that had to be replaced. Once that was done she drives like a dream again.....
Thanks Andrea...I will try that cuz I also have exhausted every other option. I hope it will work.
Can anybody plz help me locate the engine speed sensor on my 05 VW Jetta. Where from Air flow sensor?--right below it? to its left? its right?. I appreciate it.
