Why does my 2001 VW Beetle die everytime I start to slow down or stop after getting the starter replaced?

The car was running good, until my daughter got in the car to come home and it wouldn't start.  We had the starter replaced and now every time you slow down or stop it dies.  It will start right back up and runs good as long as you are giving it gas and moving.

Could be various things as a result of not getting enough fuel. Possibly fuel pump, maybe a clogged injector, or if it leaks you could have a broken fuel line.
