Odd noise, Volkswagen Turbo S 2002

I have recently bought a Volkswagen Turbo S 2002. The vehicle has roughly
73,500 miles on it and is in pretty good condition. However, on my first drive I
heard an odd clunking noise coming from the right rear side of the vehicle. I
hear it most when i drive over speed bumps and go over 35 mph. I'm not
sure if it's the automatic window spoiler or if it's a problem with the interior
plastic. Any ideas?

Now that I've thought about it, it could also be caused by weight. If i have my whole family in the car (4), i hear it.

Weak struts or shocks bottoming out? Worn control arm bushings? Bad wheel bearing? Brake pads rattling? Rear sway bar links?

I had a similar situation. I replaced the rear shock absorbers and the clunk went away. Rides better too.
