Won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Volkswagen passat and it was
running just fine and the clutch went bad so I got
the clutch and had it put on but when ready to start
and be done it won't start so someone says it
jumped time but don't it have to be started or
running to jump time???

Yes,it would have to be running to jump time,and was it running good before clutch change?
