I'm looking at buying a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 and was wondering if anybody has bought one before? And any problems with the vehicle.

There has to be thousands of people that have bought one before. Go to a Volvo forum and ask the owners what to look for.

Don't buy it unless it's a 2007 or newer any year below that has unexpected electrical issues and you'll never know what module it will hit first I love the look and style of my Volvo and the way it handles and drives is out of this world, but the constant maintenance is killing me and I've only had mine for a year.

I have a 2006 and I love it. The only problem I've had is it got overheated by a friend of mine and I had to do the head gasket. Other than that I've had no real issues with it. And I've got 235,000 miles on it.

Don't buy anything over 2014 they're no longer made in Switzerland

Sharell are you saying 2007 to 2013 are the best years for S40 ? Does that apply to XC70 too ?
