2006 mitsubishi galant window fell within the door, what needs to be done to fix this?

would say the window regulator needs to be replaced.... if I remember correctly they are cable driven regulators on either side the plastic gear at the motor breaks off and they drop down.

Thanks for replying. I was afraid of that. That regulator is not cheap. I was hoping it was only a small adapter needed to be replaced. I an going to have a local mechanic look at it still. I already found the parts online. I just need to know which one and confirmed its the regulator. Thanks for your help....
