1997 Tahoe shuts off when gearing

Asked by MissLadie Aug 05, 2017 at 01:31 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got the can shaft position sensor, spark plugs,
fuel injector 6, and fuel filter replaced. Put my truck
in gear and it want to shut off or it does shut off.
It's not reading and codes and no dash lights on.
Any thoughts?

Check the distributor body for cracks. I have heard the chevys of this time frame had issues with the distributor housing cracking and moisture entering causing issues.
