I bought a Hyundai Elantra 2007 model just a week back. From the past 2-3 days my car is randomly making the panic sound. The one when you press the red panic button behind your key fob. Before buying i did a pre inspection check as well. I was advised to change the battery of the key fob but that does not work either... Please share something in case anyone has faced similar issues or know of this problem

I own a 2007 Hyundai Elantra Limited (I purchased brand new in 2007) in 2012 at about 36K miles it had the same problem. The issue was the rubber (red) panic button was wedged in when the dealer replaced the battery on it (under warranty) and re- programmed the remote (fob). if you look at the top of the fob there is a place to insert a flat tipped screw driver and snap it apart, make sure all of the buttons line up (the lock, unlock, and trunk release are all plastic) but if you notice the panic button is rubber. Thats the piece that really needs to line up to the connector. If you can find nothing wrong with the way it was reassembled, simply purchase a new one off of Amazon and have the Hyundai Dealer recode it for your Elantra (they will usually do this for free). Best of luck and enjoy the car. Mine is now a back up car, and for family to use when the visit. Its been one of the most reliable vehicles Ive ever owned.
