Rear drum brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I replaced my rear drum brakes and they squeal in reverse. I can back up and
apply brakes and make it go away temporarily but the noise comes back after
sitting for a couple of hours.

Did you reinstall the springs and retainers correctly?
I believe so- i haven’t pulled the drums off yet as I may need parts first.

Did you have the drums resurfaced ? If not you can also hand sand them with a good grit sandpaper to remove glaze or use electric sander.
