Timing

Asked by Stujam32 Jul 22, 2018 at 08:17 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced my distributor.  Set it to #1 TDC on compression
stroke.  Set timing at 0 like sticker says and there is lack of
pickup when you push on the peddle.  Advanced timing 2
degrees.  Better pickup but seems to be labored.  Tried
retarding past 0.  This did not help.  Made power less.  Any
ideas?   Mapp sensor maybe?

This is a 1995 5.7 with tbi. Just so you know. I am not sure what the spout connector is.
