Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just did the spark plugs yesterday and when I
pulled out the first plug to the left there was oil on
the spark plug and an oil puddle under it. The rest
of them were bone dry after that plug, but I was
curious to see if it could be a valve cover gasket or
is it a bad head gasket? It's an automatic with
116k.

Yes cam cover (valve cover) gasket is letting oil leak into the spark plug well. Just replace the gasket.
