Asked by Jose Feb 08, 2017 at 01:01 AM about the 1998 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL2 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when my saturn goes from park to reverse it jerks a little bit sometimes it
doesn't go so i have to rev it a little so it can go into gear i took it to auto zone to
get the code read because the engine light came on and it said it was a cooling
sensor but i doubt that's the problem anybody has an expierence with this im sure
it's the tranny or maybe the tranny filter is clogged

there is a sensor on the side of the motor just above the tranny that will set the mil light off, cant think of its name,sorry

If you go to a Saturn fans website they actually have a lot of answers about this problem that you have one solution was they put the car in question against a wall or a post and put it in reverse and let it push on the transmission to fix the problem not too hard but enough to make the trans engage it does something with the transmission I'm not sure you can check the website to get more information I think the name of the site is saturnalia. Com
