Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About 6 months ago I bought a 2002 SC2 with 185,000. It is the 1.9 DOHC / 5 speed. I have enjoyed the car in the short time I've owned it. Gets around 32mpg, does use some oil. However here in the last month it has developed a clattering noise. Not all the time though. You can only seem to hear it when accelerating to switch gears. At first it was noticeable at around 3500-4000RPM's now in the last week it is doing it at around 2500RPM's. Can anyone shed some light on what the issue may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well not being a Certified mechanic I can only guess when's the last time your clutch has been replaced what's the mileage on your clutch maybe your clutch is wearing out? Also it's a hydraulic clutch so make sure you have enough hydraulic fluid in your clutch system.
