if the 1998 engine is a saturn s series then yeah.... if the model was the same in 1998 then the engine will fit because of same size and design for the engine bay
That 2nd gen motor will work fine, just remember to use the 3rd gen pcm since those are generation specific.
i thinhk 1998 and 2002 is the same model... or gen?? im not completely sure because i rarely get to work on american cars ;ike that caus im in europe
98 is 2nd gen. Anything past '00 is 3rd gen. If you're not sure about the help you're providing, you shouldnt be giving it.
