MY ABS INOP LIGHT IS ON.I UNDERSTAND IT WILL RESORT TO REGULAR BRAKING. DOES THIS CAUSE ANY DAMAGE OR CAN I IGNORE THE LIGHT.

It causes no damage. It just won't pump the brakes when a wheel locks up. It's just like every car was before ABS brakes became standard.

Double check with G.M. There was a recall for the ABS brakes on certain models from the mid-90s.
